Robin Whitsell is a freelance writer, pharmaceutical consultant, contract medical
writer, independent CRA, and mom. Her clients have included top pharmaceutical
companies and small start-ups, regional publications and national glossies.
Robin traditionally writes essays and articles about dating, marriage, children
and pets. Her work has appeared in regional publications such as Carolina Parent,
Kansas City Baby, NY Metro Kids, and the Washington Post. She has also been published
nationally in Dog Fancy, WAG, and Clean Run. Her literary work has appeared in the
Urban Hiker.
Robin’s writing ranges across her passions: family matters to medical topics, pet
articles to design advice, gardening commentary to child development, successful
introductions to happy marriages. She has a wide national and international network
of contacts.
For her pharmaceutical clients, Robin has completed medical writing ranging from
protocol and protocol amendment authorship, regulatory submissions for annual reports,
NDAs and INDS, investigator brochures, manuscripts, abstracts, and corporate SOPs.
She also has written study specific documents (Informed Consent Forms, Study Manuals,
Case Report Forms, Study Monitoring Manuals, etc.) She has consulted on study design
issues, study site selection and international study management and has worked
as an independent monitor.
Robin lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with her supportive husband, her amazing
children and her dog, Foster. She is working on her first novel.
